Where DEAP students live and learn

The DEAP (Diversity Enrichment and Achievement Program) House is a living-learning community that allows incoming first-year DEAP students to easily connect with peers from diverse backgrounds and participate in academic, cultural, and social programming designed to contribute to their holistic development at Indiana University Indianapolis.

Eligibility:

All full-time first year students are eligible
Sign your IU Indianapolis housing contract
Apply to the DEAP program
- DEAP applications open February 1
- All DEAP application steps must be complete to be eligible
Complete the DEAP House application
- You will receive the link for the DEAP House application after you complete the DEAP application
- DEAP House priority application deadline is May 11th at 11:59pm
- DEAP House final application deadline is June 1st at 11:59pm
Enroll in the DEAP House UCOL-U110 First-Year Seminar (2cr.) when you register for your fall semester classes

Requirements

The following requirements are expected of each DEAP House resident to live in the community and to receive the $2500 housing stipend:

Be a first-year DEAP Scholar
Participate in the DEAP Pinning Ceremony 
Attend 2 DEAP House specific events each semester  
Enroll in the DEAP House first year seminar course*
Pass your first-year seminar course with a C or better
