DEAP Student Advisory Board

The DEAP Student Advisory Board serves as an important platform for students to share their opinions, concerns, and suggestions about the Dedicated to Enrichment, Achievement, and Persistence (DEAP) program at Indiana University Indianapolis. Made up of committed student leaders, the board plays a key role in shaping the DEAP experience by offering valuable insights and feedback on program initiatives, events, and policies. Through open dialogue and collaboration, board members help create a supportive environment that encourages connection, growth, and success for all DEAP scholars. Their input ensures that DEAP remains attentive to the needs of its students and continually strengthens its programs and services to promote student success and well-being.

  • Networking opportunities with fellow Scholars and program leaders
  • Personal and professional development

Responsibilities

  • Serve as representative for respective program tier
  • Provide perspective on topics relevant to programming, events, tier needs, etc.
  • Collaboratively plan 1 social event each semester
  • Attend at least 1 DEAP workshop/event a semester
  • Attend a monthly 1-hour student advisory board meeting
  • Commit to serving on the Board for a full academic year (August – May)
